MR

MRI

Please tell us in advance about any implants, pacemakers, metal in your body, previous operations, possible pregnancy or severe claustrophobia. Bring any implant or device identification cards you have.

CT

Computed tomography

Please tell us if you may be pregnant. For a CT scan with iodinated contrast medium, kidney disease, previous reactions to contrast medium, relevant thyroid conditions and diabetes medication are particularly important. You will receive personalised instructions.

US

Ultrasound

We offer abdominal, vascular, thyroid and paediatric ultrasound according to the doctor's clinical question, as well as liver elastography and UDFF for quantitative assessment of liver fat content. Preparation depends on the examination; please follow the instructions in your appointment confirmation.

XR

X-ray

Please tell us if you may be pregnant. Jewellery and metal objects in the examination area must be removed before imaging.

What to expect

On the day of your examination.

    Allow enough time and check in at reception with your documents.

    Information and consent

    Any outstanding questions and relevant safety information will be discussed before the examination.

    Examination

    The team will guide you through your individually planned examination.

    Report

    The report approved by the doctor is usually sent to the referring clinician or practice. The practice team will explain how you will receive your results.
